bic;; Coalspice raced into the clearing and straight into his father's den. He spoke to him for a while, and soon the two toms exited the den. Coalspice went and sat down, while Chickenstar leaped onto the Low Hanging Branch. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, please step forth." His cry reached every corner of camp, summoning those from darkness.

Mouseleg trotted to the clearing. Sorrelleg followed closely.

I wonder what's going on? I hope everything's okay.

In the space of a second, two eyes opened. They're cerulean depths, clouded like moons, stared uncertainly forward until the dark lids flashed down to cover them. Yet only for a mere second. Lunarpaw had been awoken by a cry; a cry familiar to her ears. The she-cat climbed to her paws, shaking the heaviness of slumber from her body. The apprentice's usaully sleek black fur was covered in scraps of moss, and it was slightly matted. Lunarpaw sat, and began to groom her pelt. Soon shone like moonshine. The she-cat flicked the tip of her tail as she left the apprentices' den in response to Chickenstar's cry. Lunarpaw blinked up at the leader through chill blue-green eyes, the hue perfectly balanced. The apprentice wondered breifly whether or not she would be assigned a mentor today. Lunarpaw sat beneath the branch, in the shade of the tree. The cold did not seem to bother her whatsoever.

bic;; _{Chickenstar looked upon his clan, the sun beating down. He smiled as his gaze passed over Lunarpaw. Then he spoke. "Today, I welcome an apprentice as a warrior, but first, someone needs her mentor." He jumped down and beckoned Lunarpaw over. "Lunarpaw. You have been without a mentor for a number of days, and I feel regret to that. Lunarpaw, your mentor shall be me. I will train you well under the warrior code and make sure you are a good warrior." He touched noses with her and leaped back into the tree, landing on the low branch. "Moonpaw. Step forth. It is time for your warrior ceremony. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?" He waited while she responded, then continued. "Moonpaw, I hereby call you by your new name, Moonmagic. You are a warrior of good strength and knowledge, and we welcome you as a new warrior." The tom smiled at her. Then he leaped down once more, and rested his chin upon her head. Then he went back up into the tree. "Now. We must discuss Secretclan. They have been scented closer here, and there was a fight where the deputy showed up. Now I must tell you, he seems to be on the good side, but I cannot be sure. Keep your eyes out, and apprentices, stick with your mentors." Chickenstar nodded his head, then leaped down. He walked to Lunarpaw. "Want to go train?" He asked her.}

So today it was to be. The black she-cat got up, not stumbling in excitement or trembling with nerves. Her heart stayed perfectly calm, her mind awash with thoughts. Lunarpaw blinked as Chickenstar approached. She gave a tiny nod as he proclaimed that he himself was to mentor her. Lunarpaw twitched the tip of one ear. The apprentice leant forward to politely touch her nose against the tom's. She then sat down again, her tail wrapped around her paws. Even her eyes betrayed no sense of awe that she had been chosen to be the leader's apprentice. Lunarpaw watched the warrior ceremony of Moonwhisper, and chanted the she-cat's name along with the rest of WhisperClan, though still her eyes remained expressionless.

Earthen toned she-cat sat apart, mind was elsewhere though physically she stood within the safety of WhisperClan. Gaze was glazed over as the talk of SecretClan began. Warrioress was vaguely aware of Sparkprisim's comforting presence, though she paid little mind to such. Her own flesh and blood were at the mercy of Silhouette, and yet here she was, doing little to help, doing nothing to ensure their survival. Eyes blinked slowly several times before she stood up and began padding towards the exit. How was she to live with herself, if she allowed the kits to stay there, not even knowing if they were alive.

No words were exchanged, she was clearly going somewhere, and she didn't really care if she should be clearing it with Chickenstar, her own mate, though she hated to think such, didn't seem to really care if they were endangered, but she had to know. Ears flickered slightly, only to show she knew of Sparkprisim following, such a loyal son, even if he didn't know the dangers of her venture. No look was given back to the rest of the Clan, it really didn't concern them where she was going, she was aware the exit stood only several tail lengths away, she was that much closer to her kits.</sub>

Moonwhisper! Lunarpaw!

The two she-cats chanted, side by side, as they looked on proudly to the warrior and apprentice. Mousetail padded over to Lunarpaw, and sat beside her, tail wrapped around her own paws as well.

Are you not excited that Chickenstar himself is your mentor?

Lunarpaw's eyes had followed the two cats' progress across the camp. Her bleak eyes traced the curve of Sparkprism's cheek as she took in the tom's expression. The shadowy coloured she-cat pricked up her ears, but heard no exchanged words over the yowling of the cats around her. Lunarpaw blinked at her clanmates, as though surprised for a moment why they were cheering for her. The she-cat then remembered, and lifted her tail in acknowledgement of their praise. Lunarpaw turned to Mousetail as the she-cat padded towards her. Lunarpaw gave a small nod in greeting. She shrugged lightly at the warrior's words. "I suppose."

[wolfie]

Grieverstone padded up to the two cats, "Congratulations," she said, touching her tail to both of their shoulders. Then she turned and walked off to speak with Chickenstar, "Chickenstar! Chickenstar!" she called, trotting to catch up with him.

_{Chickenstar looked behind him, and caught Grieverstone in his eyes. "Hey! What is-" He stopped. There was something wrong. He turned and raced for the exit. "Sparrowfeather!" He cried. "Mousetail! Follow my mate and my son!" He meowed urgently. Then he turned back to Grieverstone, with troubled eyes. "Yes?" He asked.}

But Chickenstar-

Mousetail saw him turn back to Greiverstone and flicked her tail. She left to find Sparrowfeather and Coalspice.

bic;; The agitated tom looked at her. "Okay. I'll look after that, okay?" He meowed. Then he licked her ears. "Greiverstone, you know you won't die soon, so why are you anxious about an apprentice?" He asked.

Grieverstone smiled, "You never know," she said. The medicine cat gave him a quick smile then turned and walked over to the fresh-kill pile. She pawed out a mouse and started to eat hungrily.

ooc: Sorry I haven't bin on lately

bic: Moonpaw stepped forward "yes I promis to uphold thw warrior code" she said with a brod grin on her face. Then when Chickenstar announced her new name her eyes lit up with pride. "Oh thank Chickenstar, THANK YOU!" she mewed happily as she felt her leader's chin rest upon her head, she licked his shoulder respectfully.
